A cool afternoon..

Its round 3'o clock..my family just given a call saying "Did you have your lunch?" I said-"No, the cook was a bit late today, she finished cooking at around 11 in the morning". In fact I was still lying on bed till 12.30...its the coolest day I find. The mere glimpse of the sky, penetrating with every effort & defeating the curtain restraints, perhaps wants me to say-"What are you staring at folk, go enjoy the warmth of the quilt."

The conversation was not over. My sister-in-law landed the exact point-"Ashu, today we have a solar eclipse within a period from 12.20 to 3.30 . And you are grown up enough to realize the bad impact of having food during an eclipse." I was confused and somewhat angry, they[my family]could have talked about the matter a few hours back. Now as advised with every "SANSKAR" on hand, I am supposed to through the prepared food and cook again after 3.30. In no way I can escape this myth so buried in hindu households[specially bangali brahmins]or it may lead to any disease completely uncurable.

Lets' see if I have anything stocked for a rapid cooking.

  1. Ha ha yr frustration abt Bengali bramhins is funny I agree with u....I see a kid in u that's pretty kool.

I would like to add just one thing...The world changes every secs, every micro micro micro secs...a new world always requires a new law a new tradition...but then unless u recognise and respect the existing laws u will not have the power and authority to bring the new ones...so yr effort to try n cook new food was praiseworthy.I realised all these things while trying to get my new LL after riding almost 70,000 kms in bike :).

Enjoy the humour in life ha ha!!
